Bass fishing lures and stuff?

I am an intermediate fisher and I want to know what kind of stuff should I use to catch some nice Rock or Smallmouth Bass. I used to use live bait but now I am trying jigs and spinners. Any advice?
and any suggestion on colors

use plastic worms too
when i am cleaning bass, i always find a crayfish or two in the stomach. so use crayfish and rapalas (they cost like $5.00 but are very good).

M Von 31 Dec 2009 at 2:48 pm 5Smallies will kill anything that looks like a crayfish. Most minnow imitators work well, too. Certain times of the year, a leech type plastic works well.
Spinners work best in rivers/streams.
Addicted2Fishingon 31 Dec 2009 at 3:28 pm 6ohhhh I can help you out here buddy, Go to your local Walmart or Kmart or Bassproshops.com and pick up one of these in Yellow (preferably) or White. These things will catch you nice Rocks and Small, A tip on using this bait is fish it parallel to the rock banks/shore but don’t walk over there and spook the fish. Smallies and Rocks are smart and will be spooked to see you or your shadow. Try bouncing this lure of rocks and casting right near stumps. If this lure doesn’t work give me your address and I will send you $1.25 on a rebate for it if you send it to me! Single blade spinnerbaits are the bomb.
