Can someone please help me correctly identify this fish? (pictures included)?

I caught this fish in Lake Windermere, BC. The types of fish that are in this lake are: lake trout, mountain lake whitefish, bass, rainbow trout, bull trout, yellow perch, brown trout, brook trout.
I have a photo guide, but I am not very familiar with fish, and they are relatively hard to distinguish with my lack of expertise. Thanks!!

ps. I think it is a mountain white fish: (example of whitefish)

oh, i forgot, there is also bass here… not sure, it has the yellow sheen of a bass, but not the face of a bass

JWon 26 Aug 2010 at 4:00 am 2I’m not sure but it doesn’t have the face of a white fish. It looks more like a trout. it could be a cross breed of some kind. I bet it was fun to catch. I just went fishing on the wisconsin river yesterday and caught around 100 white bass. these to most people where I live are a nuisance fish and breed so much that you take 100 away there will be 200 back tomorrow. So good luck with identifying your fish and let me know what it is I have relatives in BC and I would love to come up and catch fish like that or bigger.
danielle Zon 26 Aug 2010 at 4:28 am 3it is a Dolly Varden trout. Kind of looks like a cross between a bull and a dolly. They are common in BC as well in north eastern US.
Dolly Varden and bulls look a lot alike. As they get older they will resemble more of a salmon than a typical small trout.
