mattchew10on 11 Aug 2010 at 1:37 pm 6yeah i know what you mean on the hook set. That can definetly be frustrating lol. you wanna let em have it for a couple of seconds to get it in their mouth. Get a slightly tight line and give a quick powerful hookset. What kind of rod are you using? That may have something to do with it too. Watch Bill Dance’s hookset. He has one of the best in my opinion!
921144666on 11 Aug 2010 at 1:39 pm 7lol! its ok..im use to getting thumbs down. thanks! i was having trouble catching bass in this cold weather and heard about how good jigs are in winter. i learned black n blue 3/8 and below is the best bet. Got any tips on how to get a better hook set…because missed alot also. But, caught enough to be happy!
mattchew10on 11 Aug 2010 at 1:45 pm 8@921144666 haha i hit thumbs down on your comment by accident. But anyway i like it depends on how deep of water you are fishing and how fast you want your jig to fall…but for most situations i like a 3/8 oz

UnitedPonyson 11 Aug 2010 at 3:59 pm 142:11 knock more baits down plz!
kawabunga66on 11 Aug 2010 at 4:46 pm 15Lots of the same stuff, yes Kevin you can tell us what to use and how to use it, just like a video from the bait company. My question is can you actually catch a bass with the baits you show in your videos. I have in fact never seen you catch a fish, just wondering.

bigbadredneck09on 11 Aug 2010 at 8:17 pm 22Idk where you are from but if ur from pa the limit in one day is 4 till april, then we have a no harvest time for spawn, then we can keep 6 after june 15 i think…
shrontzyon 11 Aug 2010 at 8:48 pm 23I recommend going to your home state DNR website. They should have all the information in the fishing section. It might be labeled as “2009 fishing guide” or something like that.
Good luck!
