Killer Drop Shot Fishing technique for Bass Largemouth and Smallmouth Mesh Matt’s Fishing Methods #1
Posted by Best Bass Fishing Lures on Sunday, August 15th, 2010
This is a alternate drop shotting technique different from the normal slow method. During the cold winter months, I like to cast out, let sink to the bottom and use a fast shake/pause, fast shake/pause method. This sometimes triggers a reaction strike from fish that are otherwise highly pressured, cold or just not eating. I like to vary my presentation from time to time especially when it is a slow day , you need to get creative and this is just another type of the very effective drop shot method. The water temp was 51 degrees and fishing was super slow this day, then I varied my technique to the quick shake, the bites started to come. Give it a try, who know’s, it might turn a slow day into a great one. VISIT WWW.MESHHAT.COM AND FIND A GOOD LUCK FISHING HAT , T-SHIRTS AND MORE FROM MESH MATT.

mlars543on 15 Aug 2010 at 2:08 pm 6looks like a meanmouth.
ZoomToadCraazyon 15 Aug 2010 at 2:33 pm 7I dont think thats a pure smallmouth, its definatly got some spotted bass markings on him. Its gotta be a hybrid, otherwise called a meanmouth. Very nice bass though!
Also when that water gets into the 50s, theres another technique that works really well, can easily get 20-30 fish days with it. Have you ever heard of the float and fly?

meshhat2on 15 Aug 2010 at 4:44 pm 12Hi click on the arrow down tap in the discription box for full details. Early spring I like to shake the rod tip rapidly more and pause for like 10 seconds then shake rapidly then pause for 10 seconds. continue all the way back to the boat.
ElBote54on 15 Aug 2010 at 4:59 pm 13Not quite sure what the “alternate method” is that you’re showing. Can you give a brief description, please?
Thanks
