When i am after monster stripers, i fish the from the dam with lures at night. U can hear & sometimes see giant stripers attacking giant shads. The big ones run really close on long the dam at night. Lost $500 rod reel by massive fish fishing only 20ft fr shore. After years of fishing there, found out that large schools of stripers circle the resevior every 4 hrs. Have fish stripers fr NC, TN, KS, SC, & GA. 152 holds to best odds for the next world record. They are there, just keep fishing.

I have spent years fishing the San Louis and O’neal forebay. Have lost many monster stripers there over 40 & 50 lbs. It is only a matter of time before the next world record fresh water striper come out of there. Keep up the good fishing.
