I’m thinking about getting a 7′ moderate action medium power Daiwa S-Bass trigger rod made for crankin paired with a Shimano Citica reel. If anyone has any other suggestions, please tell me, I’d just like to keep it around this price range. Also, I’m thinking 15 lb fluoro.

Snagless Crankbait Prototype

This is a lure prototype that I’ve been working on during the past weeks . After the initial first prototype turned out a failure I’ve re-designed and came out with this one . My goal was to build a sinking crankbait , that I can slowly toss along the bottom of that swim shown and that possibly won’t snag up there. The bottom of that river scratches 45 feet(15 metres)depth and most likely consists of clay , mussels and mud , not much vegetation or dead leaves in there to foul the hooks , ……though “common” sinking baits do snag up occasionally . I intend to fish that bait for Zander(European Walleye) , a most likely bottom-located species . The lure shown is yet unpainted , still gonna make a few more after this prototype , that has finally turned out to my satisfaction now . Forgot to mention in the video , that the bait has two small pieces of magnetic sheet glued into grooves inbetween the wire eyes on the back , these help to hold the hooks in place , …….a hooked fish would certainly unclip the double hooks to swing more freely to prevent hook leverage . greetz , 61diemai
