I’m 13 and live in long island new york. today we went fishing and i caught 3 ok sized blue fish. i wanted to know and good location i can go to (without a boat) to get different types of fish and larger sized ones. is there bass fishing location. and also i wanted to know what is a cheap priced rod that is small to buy. mine is over 10 feet (got as gift) so i need a smaller one. i want the location to be saltwater but fresh will bo okay. my family still needs to get licenses

I am a die hard bass fisherman and the only fisherman in my entire family. I have taught myself everything I know, bought all my lures by myself and have managed to become far knowledgeable. Now I would like to move on to boats.

Especially now, I am only 14 and cannot afford those 14k bass boats. I have looked into sea eagle fishing boats. I have been looking into the Sea Eagle 6 as it is perfect for one person. It is $400 with the dream package which includes seats other stuff and the motor mount as well as flooring to stand on. Sound good to you?

Also, what type of trolling motor should I get? I plan to fish small bodies? Also, how long does a standard trolling motor battery last?

Appreciate the help. Please I need some sea eagle owner’s opinions.

Is it pointless to use a top floating jig in the winter? I fished a rattletrap and jig & pig at Ronkonkoma for six hours yesterday with nary a bite. Has anyone fished the Northwestern side(opposite of the falls) of Southard’s with any success? Whats the best overall advice for today’s trip? Thanks!!!
