Best Bass Fishing Lures

Steve and I bass fishing at the ponds. SLOW DAY OF FISHING. Lots of winter birds though. San Luis Obispo, CA. Great winter day 2011.

I’m looking for some ponds or smaller lakes where my friend and i can do some bass fishing. I’m new to the area and would love some tips on where to go to find some quality fish, not just small panfish. thanks

the pond i use is very small and about 18 feet at the deepest. it is full of bass, catfish and brem. any info on bait/lures, and times of day would be great. the pond has a circumference of 866 yards if that gives good size details and is shaped like a horseshoe.

What time of the day and what are the best baits and lures to catch bass in lakes and ponds in the midwest?
