I truly believe you’ll have the best luck with the lures you use the most because you know how to work them to your best advantage. You know how and when to twitch or move ‘em.

    With that said my favorites or;

    Plastic worms or crawdads
White spinner bait with a willow leaf
    Deep diving crank bait
Beetle spins on an ultra lite and
    Jitter bug

    Did I mention Plastic worms:)

But beware. Northerns love all of them.

    1. Rattle Trap type lures- Cordell
Spots, Aruku Shads, Bagley’s, Etc. I mostly use 1/4-1/2 OZ sizes.

    2. Jigs- I almost always have a1/4-1/2 OZ Jig/ 4″ Double-tailed skirted Grub rigged most of the season. They are great for Flippin around docks. And big fish LOVE them.

    3. Weightless Berkley 7″ Worm rigged Texas-style or a 5″ Wacky Rigged Senko.

    4. Spinnerbait’s

    5. Suspended Jerk bait’s and Soft Plastic Jerk Bait’s.

I fish a lot of Northern MN from the Duluth area lakes- out to the McGregor area lakes- down to the Pine City area lakes. I am currently fishing in 2 different Bass clubs based out of Duluth.

I’ve been fishing with some great fishermen this year and it has improved my MN fishing. Shout out to Al- Thanks for all the pointer’s dude!

Hope this helps ya? Good fishing.

    I don’t live in Minnesota but ….

    1.) Plastic worm.

    2.) Rat-L-Trap.

    3.) Jig.

    4.) Spinnerbait.

    5.) Grub.

I will vote the best answer to Fisher_King. He fishes & lives in Minnesota and knows what he’s talking about ….
