All these people arguing about fish not biting…

On any body of water, no matter the time of the day, i guarantee there is somewhere you can catch fish. You just gotta find the active ones, or you gotta have a great presentation for those inactive ones. An inactive fish will bite, it just won’t bite anything.

I don’t know about in the south, but here in the midwest, i do better in the middle of the day because i know where the fish’ll be. I just gotta figure out what they’ll bite.

@wolfmanorfisherman it will feel like a sudden light snap on your pole. the second you feel the snap, pull back on the pole, but not to hard. if your able to get the hook set, keep your line tight and reel in the fish. if youre bober fishing, of course just wait for the bobber to start popping or dive under water.

i use crankbaits with floralcarbon line and it works every time once i got a 2 foot large mouth by just my small crankbait.i fish in a area with small weeds and alot of fallen trees and u suggest u fish around 5:00pm or right after it rains or early morning these time are perfect because thts wen they hunt!!!!!

Gets hotter and the bass wont want to bite.

That’s why when fishing in August or something when the water temp gets near 90 here, it is VERY hard to catch fish

  13. SaginawRiverFishingon 06 Sep 2010 at 2:50 am 13

why is it hard to fish afternoon?

  14. winkelman64fanon 06 Sep 2010 at 3:33 am 14

Yea, ive noticed that fishing one spot repeatedly does get strikes. When im fishing toppin water frogs over thick weeds ill cast to the same pot 4 or 5 times and often times youll get one on the 4th or 5th time..

  15. woohog1on 06 Sep 2010 at 4:16 am 15

so then the pros that catch fish at noon, obviously are just bringing them into the water from another spot.. You sir are a complete and total idiot. I guarantee, you and I fish the same spot, you only in the morning and evening till dark, and ill take the rest of the day, then lets see who will actually catch more fish. Is it harder to fish in the afternoon? YES… But it can be so much more rewarding.

my buddy knows how to play bass!

  17. JawJacker10on 06 Sep 2010 at 5:54 am 17

I would not say that this is wrong. I would say though, remember that this is a tip from another Angler, giving a tip. Which he is trying to give a usful hint or idea or a basic practical fact. Being that this technique He is using probly works on alot of other places not saying that there is no exceptions to many techniques on certain bodies of water. With that said giving this tip credit and actually trying this out .See what your results are on many different bodies of water.

    WRONG!!

  20. 10072018on 06 Sep 2010 at 6:43 am 20

OR… you just fish all day and catch nothing because God hates you.

  21. UnitedPonyson 06 Sep 2010 at 6:44 am 21

i think big bass spinners fail

  22. Graphicspittz187on 06 Sep 2010 at 7:31 am 22

I know this is a tip, But you should be fishing in that shaded area where the tree’s are across from the rack wall

  23. cheeseitguyon 06 Sep 2010 at 8:31 am 23

log syump or close 2 weeds

  24. fromundaphilon 06 Sep 2010 at 8:45 am 24

I always had more luck on the rip rap at the dam side of the lake, black spinner bait at start of night and top water (usually buzz bait) right before dawn, though I have had good luck on humps with a carolina rig with a black worm. Again towards the dam side of the lake.

I love when people post fishing tip videos where no fish are caught. Completely disproves their theory! The best time to fish in the summer is very early morning and at dusk into the first couple of hours of night with topwater.
