The “best” almost guranteed bass catcher is a live shiner with little or no weight. Any shiners you catch or buy from 3″ to 6″ are excellent bait for bass whether it be in a pond, creek, or lake. Just cast out your live shiner nose-hooked on a #2 or 1/0 baitholder hook with a small split shot or two or no weight at all and work it back to the shore very slowly.

No if lures are concerned, the plastic worm is the best all-around bass lure. They will hit them when they’re not hitting other lures and when they ARE hitting other lures. A Texas-rigged 6″ or 7″ straight-tail or curly-tail plastic worm with a 1/8oz or 1/4oz bullet weight is a great lure to fish. Just bounce and crawl it off the bottom slowly.

okay, so what I’m about to say probably will cause a lot of people to hate on me and my advice. But the best fishing lure that I’ve used for bass is the Banjo Minnow. Yes, the banjo minnow is the best lure I’ve ever used and then second would have to be plastic worms. The only negative thing about the banjo minnows is that its really just a top water lure. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait awhile for it to sink to the bottom.

I went to Lake Skinner last month with a couple of friends and yeah, they made fun of me when I brought out my banjo minnows. They were using castaic swimbaits and some Storm swimbaits. We were on a boat and fished near the shore on the other side of the lake. There were a large number of bass (probably around 50) just swimming around. I was the only one catching them. Probably fished for an hour and caught over 20 LMB and they didn’t catch anything. I offered to lend them some but they were determined to catch with their lures. So try it out.. it works wonders..

minnows, chubs, crankbait such as rapala x-raps and top water such as a rubber frog, rubber worms such as gary yammamotos senkos, and sometimes you can get them on power bait but i would waste your time with that

Zoom finesse worms that are texas rigged with no weight. Cast them out and jerk them on the way in and have pauses in between the jerks because the bass will go absolutely crazy on the fall. This lure takes patience but it is guarantee bass catcher. My cousin has trouble catching bass in his lake and I introduced him to this and he loves it.

Everybody use this lure and you will catch bass!

I like rubber lizards. My favorite color is watermellon. This link gives good information about catching bass.

I have searched and asked people who love fishing and here are some of their suggestions about best lures:

    1. Getting the right lure sometimes requires knowing what the bass loves to eat and a good example is a worm.

    2. Crankbait is also another lure that can be used to catch bass because it looks like baitfish or a crawfish.

    3. Spinner bait has been known to capture bass in bigger sizes.

    4. Jig and Pig resembles a crawfish and is used in tournaments where this is placed all the way to the bottom and attracts a bass that is swimming there hoping to get a nice meal.

    5. The Bucktail Jig is another lure that can be used to catch all kinds of fish and just the bass.

    6. The top water plug is one lure that just stays on top then it pulled down meaning a bass has gotten hold of the bait.

    7. The tail spinner moves around and when the fish picks up the vibration, the person surely has a bass and the only thing to do will be to pull it into the boat.

They were getting the best lures at http://www.fishinglurekit.com/ where they offer great deals on all fishing lures and gadgets. Check it out!
