spring is comming and i am ready for some outdoor exercise and enjoyment. fishing seems to be both for me. all the ponds and streams are blocked for vehicles of any kind. cabin fever is getting very bad i cleaned the house this week just to kill boredom. fishing is outdoors i think maybe the ice will have melted by the first day of spring.

unmamfqlmon 29 Aug 2010 at 11:53 am 270-80 degrees is when they will be most active although when the water starts getting up toawrds that 60 degree mark they will start moving and feeding a bit more. But I say when that ice melts get out there and fish. You still have the oppurtunity to do well in cold water, you just need the right setups along with some patience. Go get you a few 3/4 ounce jigs with a craw trailer and try pulling some out.
Bradley Von 29 Aug 2010 at 12:03 pm 355 degrees they start to really get turned on. You can catch them on the ice but they get really slow below 50. Hope that helps you I am one of those with cabin fever, you should take up steelheading up here they get turned on at about 36 degrees.
thesnakeguy1on 29 Aug 2010 at 12:32 pm 4I love to fish in the spring right when the snow clears up. I’m not in Ohio but country wide, Spring is a great time to go fishing. The biggest fish I’ve caught were in the spring and summer.
