What’s the best takle for night bass fishing?
Posted by Best Bass Fishing Lures on Sunday, August 8th, 2010
I was fishing at this sweet spot near Beverly MA where the baitfish were swarming the pier like I’ve never seen before. Plenty of hungry stripers followed (dozens of these monsters were literally jumping out of the water) but none were interested in anything I was tossing in the water. I’m heading back there tommorow night but I was wondering what I should be using for tackle. Anyone got any ideas?

Jim in Indyon 08 Aug 2010 at 12:48 am 2Same rod and reel as always. Bait wise, either try some Yamamoto spider grubs(White might be good) or just some good old nightcrawlers fished on the bottom. You may be surprised at the results.
P.S. If the water is deep and they don’t get the worm on the drop, try a bobber at about two feet. Also, don’t crumple the worm on the hook. Let it hang.

Get yourself some of the baitfish the stripers are chasing, also. Fish them alive, fly lining them.

GoodManon 08 Aug 2010 at 2:41 am 5Try a Black Jitterbug or Glow in the dark top water bait, with all thoes baitfish swimming in the water your big fish were full, try something very different, maybe live bait under a bobber just might work.
have fun.
